The photo depicts a large group of school pupils (several dozen) posing for the photo in a few rows. The girls are sitting in two rows at the bottom; the boys – in two rows at the top. The teachers are standing on both sides of the group, on the left and on the right. There is a part of a large brick building in the background. Some of the children are dressed in uniforms, some are in ordinary but festive clothes. According to the photo's owner, it was taken in Karsin in 1930 and depicts, among others, her uncle Edward (...) as the primary school headmaster and another teacher (...). On the back of the photo there is the following inscription: "III grade, 1930 in Karsin ; 1930, Karsin, voiv. gdańskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
