The photo depicts a large group of women of different ages and one man standing in front of a mound. Some of the women are dressed in regional and folk costumes, with striped aprons wrapped around their arms. According to the photo's owner, it depicts a trip of the Farmers’ Wives Association from Raciborowice to Kraków. It was taken by a photographer from Kraków in 1938. Overleaf there is the following stamp: "The construction of the mound of the Ist MARSHALL OF POLAND JÓZEF PIŁSUDSKI in Sowiniec near Kraków in year...". Underneath there is a photographer's stamp: "FOTO-SOWINIEC" Władysław Miłosławski Kraków" ; 1938, Raciborowice/ Cracow, voiv. małopolskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
