The photo shows a group of men against a background of large wooden building. In front of them is a cardboard with a written inscription: “The Sawmill Antonin 2-VII-38”; and on the back of the photo an inscription: “Workers of Sawmill Antonin, Prince Radziwiłł's property, a husband marked with a cross - from the year 1935” (some errors in Polish original); July 2nd, 1938, Antonin Village, Ostrów Wielkopolski district ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture).
