The photograph shows a group of people of different ages posing for a picture against the background of a brick wall. In a foreground two boys in a reclining position are holding a tablet with an inscription: "The course ... [illegible, possibly" Students ") Jaroszewy". Students pose accompanied by musical instruments: there is a drum, triangle, tambourine, violin and accordion. All people visible in the picture are dressed in festive attire. The women wear dark dresses with white collars, and men and boys suits. Two men in a back row have cylinders on their heads ; On the back of the photo there is an inscription: "The evening course organized at the primary school in Jaroszewy, Kościerzyna district" and a stamp that reads:" ed Miroslaw (…) Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
