The photo shows a woman and a man with a mustache sitting on chairs and two their children standing next to them. They are posing against a background of a tapestry suspended on the wall. The woman is dressed in a festive jacket with embroidery, a blouse and a skirt. The man is wearing a dark suit, a white shirt and a tie. The young woman on the left is dressed in a black dress with a white collar and is clutching a small bouquet of flowers in her hand. The boy is wearing a suit and slightly too short trousers ; According to the owner, the photo shows the (...) family from Miechowice Małe. The man and woman are her great-grandparents: Tekla and Franciszek. Their children were the owner’s grandmother Julia and her grandmother’s brother Józef ; The photo was taken inside their house by the private photographer Józef (...) from Miechowice Wielkie. It was taken to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. The great-grandmother was 50 and the great-grandfather 54 years old back then. The owner’s grandmother was 21 and her brother was 9 ; March 1932, Miechowice Małe near Tarnów ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
