The photo depicts a young soldier in a uniform. Some buildings are visible in the background. The soldier stands in a backyard or on a street. According to the relation of the owner of the photo it depicts her father (…). It shows how he looked in autumn 1948 when he came back to her mother. He is standing against a background of a house in which they lived in Kurów Village. There is an inscription on the reverse side of the photo: “As a memento for beloved wife Mila - Staszek [Stanislaus] sends his likeness”; autumn 1948, Kurów Village ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
