The photo shows a very large group of people in a field posing for the photo in a row. A horse team and the wood are visible in the background. Some of the people are holding agricultural tools in their hands (hoes). There is a date noted on the photo: 12.5.1928; and an inscription on the back: “Prince Radziwiłł’s forest-planting workers, Dębnica Village, Ostrów Wielkopolski district, 1928” May 12th, 1928 , Dębnica Village, Ostrów Wielkopolski district ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture).
