Interactive database CeBaDoM (Central Database of Mills in Poland) with geospatial information, which creation was preceded by a long – term interdisciplinary research (both field tests and archival querries), made under three scientific projects financed from Polish and German public funds. The database contains and share documentation with detailed information about location, types, present condition or ownership of at least 6000 various milling objects (f. e. watermills, windmills, horse mills, motor mills) that existed and sometimes still exist within past and present borders of Poland. Those resources can be further used for plenty of purposes - it would not be only a popularization of the vanishing cultural heritage, but also a source of important knowledge about how to wisely benefit from the environment that surrounds us.
