The photo depicts a woman and a man posing for the camera in a photographic studio. Judging from the clothes, the photo may be a wedding photo, because the woman is dressed in a traditional dark blouse with puffed sleeves; moreover she is holding a bunch of white flowers in her hands. The man is wearing a suit. The photo was taken in a photographic studio in Katowice - in the right bottom corner there is a stamp saying: "Photographie "Modern" Kattowitz. Grundmannstr.5." ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
