The photo depicts a young woman in a white dress and a young man in a suit standing by a pillar with a cupola (stylised as an Antique one) of a brick bower. There is lush park greenery in the background. At the back of the photo there is the inscription: “Year 1946. My parents Zofia (…) and Stanisław (…) in the park in Smolice. Taken by Brunon (…)” ; 1946, Smolice, district krotoszyński, voiv. Wielkopolskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
