The photo depicts four young men lying on the grass next to a cabbage filed, having a snack. There are bicycles behind them. The men are dressed in white shirts, one of them is wearing a tie. There is a general sense of leisure and a picnic. At the back of the photo there is the inscription: “Pasierby, on 13/VII. 39. My uncle Brunon (…) (second from the left), a Sunday trip to the country. Taken by my uncle. The village of Pasierby” ; 13th July 1939, Pasierby, district gostyński, voiv., wielkopolskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
