The photo shows farm buildings in a winter and soldiers during military exercises, as can be presumed on the basis of their activities connected with telecommunications. One of the men is standing on a ladder, performing a fitter's job, another one is speaking through the radio, the rest are busy with other jobs. There is an inscription on the photo: “The photo 1932. The photographer unknown. Shows …(illegible words)” and an inscription on the back: “on military exercices (maneuvers) in a village in Krasnystaw area, direction of Hrubieszów…”; 1932, village in Krasnystaw area ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)
