Methodology DIANA (Computer-aided DIAgnostic ANAlysis and design of management systems), which has been developed in the Systems Research Institute Polish Academy of Sciences and its subsequent microcomputer implementation - package DIANA-Jl, enable the monitoring of organizational threats. In the w hole network of information connections of management system the part that provides the main decision-makers with essential information is examined first. In case of irregularities and the necessity of introduction of modifications in the circulation of information it is possible to make the best choice for the intended chan ges through model simulations of a number of dif.ferent solutions. Secondly, it is possible to find an answer to the most crucial question - what will happen once the intended changes have been implemented? How will this affect the organizational structure? How will this directly and/or indirectly affect the staff of the organization? Have there not been any negative side effects, and what must be changed in the design in order to avoid them? After a brief description of the methodology as well as package DIANA-11, the paper presents and exemplifies the way in which the package has been used to monitoring of organizational threats.
