The diffusion of science and technology is discussed using the concepts conceming the Bradford law in bibliometńcs, the spillover in R&D economics and innovative entrepreneurship in political economics. The Bradford law is given a variety of interpretations in regard to soeial and natural science theońes. The cumulative advantage-concentration-overflow-diffusion interpretation, the most typical interpretation of the law, is discussed empińcally against physical phenomena of overtlow-diffusion and theoretically against the concept of spillover in the neoclassic economic theory on R&D. The bibliometńc concentration of scientific articles on core joumals is interpreted in association with the self-multiplicative process in biology and in high tech industry development. The bibliometńc diffusion is interpreted in association with the learning or the imitation in strategies of authors or editors rather than the materiał overtlow. The diffusion of R&D is analogously interpreted in regard to entrepreneurs' decision. These concepts arc discussed in regard to the promotion of R&D diffusion across firms or countńes. Lessons arc taken from expeńences in R&D cooperation across firms or countńes between small R&D-intensive ones and large capital-intensive ones
