Abstrakt:

The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief summary on the basie features of major national and regional long term development plans in Japan. This paper has greatly benefited form the referential articles listed at the end of this paper. Some parts of the paper include direct citations from the references with the author's touchingup by strengthening highlight points.
