Abstract:

The paper presents two approaches for determining of estimates of the equivalence relation on the basis of pairwise comparisons with random errors. Obtaining of the estimates requires an optimal solution of a discrete programming problem which minimizes sum of differences between relation form and comparisons. The paper presents the results, which allow determining of the optimal or suboptimal solution with acceptable computational cost. These comprise: development of a statistical tests producing comparisons with low probabilities of errors and a heuristic algorithm based on the comparisons.
