Abstract:

In the paper some mathematical models and algorithms supporting the management of a big communal water network are discussed. These models and algorithms are the key elements of a decision support computer system worked out for the operator of the water network as welI as for the planers and managers of the waterworks enterprise. The goal of the system is to improve and make more efficient the waterworks management and the role of the models is to generate the relevant decisions faster, more exact and reliable as it usually occurs without using the information tools.
