Abstract:

The paper presents a short overview of basic problems from Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Reliability and Safety (RS) that have been solved using simultaneously both these theories. There are also presented problems which are still open, and whose solution should definitely increase the applicability of fuzzy sets in both areas.
