Clinical, anatomical and histological diagnosis
Histological diagnosis: Angioma racemosum meninguum basis.Autopsy examination of 65-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method.The hemorrhage at the base of the brain showed a plexus of arterial and venous vessels suspended among the mass of blood cells. The vessels were of various calibers and showed prominent atherosclerotic changes, obliterating the structure of the walls.
