Clinical, anatomical and histological diagnosis
Histological diagnosis: Aneurysma arteriae communicantis anterioris.Autopsy examination of 39-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method. The collected aneurysm showed a multi-chamber structure, with walls with obliterated muscular-collagen structure. In several places, foci of malacia, delaminating collagen fibers, penetrated deep into the aneurysmal wall. In general, the walls were uneven, either very thick or formed only by a thin layer of collagen fibers.
