Clinical, anatomical and histological diagnosis
Histological diagnosis: Haemorrhagia cerebri. Arteriosclerosis cerebri.Autopsy examination of 64-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method.The basal ganglia with the edge of the hemorrhagic focus, in the dissection stage, located mainly in the putamen. Macrophage infiltration and juvenile, stimulated vessels were visible at the margin of the focus. The glial, especially in the vicinity of the foci, was active. Features of congestion and edema were noted. The vessels were hypertrophied with fibrous changes. Macrophage infiltration was observed in the meninges.
