Muscle segment examination in light & electron microscopy

Abstract:

An 66 year-old patient with suspected inflammatory myopathy was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinister was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis showed no changes in the structure of the sarcomers. Structures forming narrow tubules penetrating deep into the muscle cells were present. Sometimes they form concentric coils .
