Muscle segment examination in light & electon microscopy

Abstract:

An 32-year-old patient with muscle pain and stiffness in the chest and neck was examined. A biopsy of biceps sinister was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed no changes in the structure of myofibrils and a small amount of connective tissue. Abnormal myelin within the intramuscular nerves (myelin foldings) were observed.
