Energy assimilation during the period of larval development per individual of Eupteryx atropunctata (Goeze) is 1.64 calories; respiration losses 0.80 calories, biomass production 0.84 calories. For Empoasca pteridis (Dhlb.) these values are respectively: A = 1. 78, R = 0.81 and P = 0.97 calories.
