Abstrakt:

This paper reviews briefly a state of biotechnology in leading countries and surveys the mainrecombinant DNA products on the commercial market and in clinical trial. The progress intransgenic pharming and in transformation of plants by particle bombardment in the last yearsis analysed in the article as well. At the end some remarks about biotechnology education inPoland are contained.
