Abstract:

Technical details of ananastomosis of the thoracic duct to the internal jugular vein were described. This surgical procedurę was performer for-treatment of asci¬tes, resistant to conservative management. The principle of the above described operation consisted in creating a new lymphatico- venous connection on the neck with purpose to reduce the resistance of lymph flow within the natural venous angle.
