W Białowieskim Parku Narodowym, na 10 stałych powierzchniach (0,25 ha) w każdym biotopie, dokonano odłowu drobnych ssaków w cyklu wieloletnim. Jako pułapki stosowano metalowe cylindry (por. Borowski i Dehnel, 1952). Stwierdzono 14 gatunków naziemnych Micromammalia.
