Abstract:

Embolemus ruddii Westwood, 1833 is the first representative of the family Embolemidae (Hymenoptera) recognized in Poland. One małe of this species has been caught by a sweep-net in the undergrowth layer on the border of the mixed coniferous forest in the Puszcza Sandomierska (SE Poland)
