Committee on Biotechnology PAS ; Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS
Biodegradation was carried out in the laboratory continuous-flow activated sludge systemand the river water test. In the river water tests, the source of carbon and energy for themicroorganisms was nonionic surfactant or nonionic surfactant and glucose. The river watertests were conducted with and without plants as Cryptoconjne. It has been found that thenonionic surfactant with chain branching was readily biodegradable in the cooxidation procesby the microorganisms of activited sludge and microorganisms from the river water test.
