Pages 173-176 ; 24 cm ; Bibliographical references (page 176) ; Abstract in English
On a basis of investigations of the resistance to cold conditions and place of hibernation of geographical populations of the codling moth (Carpocapsa pomonella L.) the authotr puts forward the theory that the caterpillars of this insect adapt themselves to northern conditions of hibernation not by increasing their physiological resistance to the action of low temperatures, but by changing their place of hibernation.
