Abstract:

The authors visited several biological scientific institutions in Czechoslovakia, their main aim being to learn something of the problems and methods of ecological research work. In particular they were able to obtain a more detailed knowledge of work on the ecology of birds, and of research on the biocenosis of forests and cultivated fields.
