Opisano aparat służący do ciągłego pomiaru niektórych wskaźników bioenergetycznych u małych ssaków. Przyrząd ten składa się z części gniazdowej połączonej korytarzem z wybiegiem, na którym zwierzę ma dostęp do pokarmu, wody i ruchomego bębna (Ryc. 1). W części gniazdowej można utrzymywać temperaturę taką jaka panuje w norach a równocześnie na wybiegu naśladować jej naturalny cykl.
