Abstract:

Plant hormones (phytohormones) are essential regulatory factors present in theplant at all development stages. Phytohormones facilitate the transfer of informationbetween cells and response to biotic and abiotic environmental factors. Thephytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) plays a crucial role in different aspects associatedwith plant growth and development, including embryo and seed maturation, postgerminative growth. Growing evidence suggests that ABA movement within plant candetermine proper ABA perception and subsequently trigger adequate responses underunfavorable conditions.
