Nucleic acids amplification methods used in microbiological diagnosis
Committee on Biotechnology PAS ; Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS
The highly sensitive in vitro methods for the detection of specific nucleic acid sequences arepresented. These methods include target amplification (polymerase chain reaction — PCR,strand displacement amplification — SDA, transcription based amplification systems (TAS; selfsustaining sequence replication — 3SR nucleic acid sequence-based amplification — NASBA), probemolecule amplification (ligase chain reaction — LCR and QP-replicase), cycling probe reactionand signed amplification methods (compounds and branched probes).
