Abstract:

Potato virus M, a member of carlavirus group, is one of the most common viral pathogensaffecting potato in Poland. Disease symptoms vaiy from truly severe to the very mild onesdepending on the PVM isolate and/or potato variety. In order to study the molecular aspects ofPVM diversity, we cloned the full-length copy DNA of PVM Uran and PVM 57 genomes, respectively. Then after preliminary nucleotide sequence analysis we could find out several sequencemotifs with possible role in PVM virulence
