Muscle segment examination in light & electron microscopy

Abstract:

An 32-year-old patient with suspected myopathy was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinisterwas performed. Ultrastructural assessment showed morphological changes within mitochondriacharacterized by cristae defects (Figs. 1-5). Myelin-like bodies were present in some mitochondria(Figures 6-7).
