Abstract:

Results of clinical observations of 120 subjects sufferning from primary lymphatic edema of lower extermities, were presented. Particular attention was paid to the relationship between the degrree of edema and lymphographic picture , to the lymphangitis complicating edema and to the coexsistence of morbid lesions in veins. It was found that no parallelism between radiologic picture and clinical sings exists. The highest precent of lymphpongitis was found in a group of patients with the so-caalled aplasia of lymphatic vessels. Morbial lesions in veins were found only in an inconsiderable precent of patients being under observation. It seems that the last lesions do not cause the edema.
