The authors report on 31 lympho-ve¬nous shunts performer in patients with primary and secondary lymphedema. The patients were followed up postoperatively for 1 to 12 months. The best results were obtained in secondary lymphedema and in several patients the circumference of the calf diminished postoperatively as much as 9cm. A detailed study of the postoperative results is presented.
