Electron microscopy analysis of the heart biopsy

Abstract:

In ultrastructural evaluation most cardiomyocytes revealed unchanged morphological structure. In some cardiomyocytes, sarcomeres were disorganized. Some areas of cardiomyocytes were characterized by disruption of myofibrils and numerous mitochondria and glycogen granules were observed. The nuclei of such cardiomyocytes had numerous invaginations ofthe envelopes.
