Title: Uwagi o rozwoju Instytutu Ekologii PAN w związku z 25-leciem jego działalności (1952-1977)

Abstract:

Discussed are: (1) the role of the Institute of Ecology in Poland with special consideration to ecological investigations connected with various fields such as agriculture, fishery, hunting, etc.; (2) the international significance of the Institute with special attention to the contributions to the International Biological Programme; (3) conditions for well carried research such as efficient scientific staff, good work, the right choice of research problems, studies covering a wide range of ecological fields and appropriate funds.
