The authors present the first case in Poland of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. The case concerned a 67-year-old woman with many year’s moderate hypertension. In a patient a gradually increasing neurological syndrom has developed, characterized by an initially left-sided and later right-sided hemiparesis. The patient died after 3 years of disease.
