Abstract:

The present paper presents the results of phytosociological studies carried out in Strzeleckie Meadows within Kampinos Forest in vicinity of Warsaw. Five associations and six variants have been distinguished within the studied area. From the order Phragmitetalia there occur following associations: Glycerietum maximae, Caricetum elatae in three variants, and Caricetum appropinquatae. The order Caricetalia fuscae is represented by one only association - Carici-Agrostetum caninae, which developed in three variants. Finally the last association, related to Stellario-Deschampsietum, belongs to the order Molinietnlia. Apart of the floristic characteristics, soil studies, and observations of fluctuations in ground water have been carried out in individual communities. There has been prepared, moreover, the map of actual vegetation at a scale of 1:2500 (in the print diminushed 2:3).
