Abstract:

The paper outlines the post-War fates of the German collection of antiquities, which before the Second World War were kept in private and public buildings or parks in the territo-ries belonging then to Germany, and after the War being part of the Polish State. Among others, the author describes history of the Roman sculptures in the Poznań (Posen) Castle, Roman sculptures from Beynuhnen, Greek and Roman inscriptions from Braunsberg (Braniewo), statuary from Mittelschreiberhau (Szklarska Poręba), collection of the von Waldow family from Königswalde (Lubniewice), and the collection of the von Rose family from Döhlau (Dylewo)
