Two new genera and two new species of trigonopoid Platynotina (Coleoptera:Tenebrionidae) are described from Cape Province (South Africa): Lawrenceus capensisgen. et sp. nov.; Platycharlesus gen. nov. (type species: Trigonopus morosus Mulsant et Rey, 1853); and Platycharlesus dentatus sp. nov.
