The early medieval settlement complex into composition of which belong : the west settlement accessed from the river Śleski, settlement adjoining from the west to the massif of the settlement and the cementery located in the vicinity of the market. Also a settlement raised by Przemysław I was his crucial element in 1255 of year during fights against Pomeranians about Nakło. Examinations from 2003 indicated the X end - the X/XI turn of the age, as the moment of the coming into existence of the old castle. Long-term excavation examinations were being carried out in 1958-1960, 1963-1965. Stanisław Tabaczyński and Krystyna Przewoźny supervised works
