Abstract:

Stanisław Staszic born in 1755 in the middle-class family was one of the greatest Polish adherent of Enlightenment, politician and statesman. At the same time he was the first authen- tic Polish physiographer which has created the foundation of Polish geology. In 1805 Staszic has appealed to the Polish young people for comprehensive physiographical investigations
