Recently, genetics and genomics have become new drivers of research into thepast of Homo sapiens. As a consequence, an increasingly detailed map of humanbiological history is being created. Despite clear progress in understanding theprocesses that have taken place in Europe since the beginning of its populationprocess, there are still many white spots on this map. For years, problems related tothe origin and migration of the human population in the early Iron Age have been andcontinue to be the subject of much fierce discussions.
