Object description:

Krzemień turoński, podobny do krzemienia ożarowskiego. Konkrecje krzemienne do kilkunastu centymetrów średnicy. Kolor szary, niekiedy z cętkami i pasmowaniami. W kamieniołomie w Karsach w profilu dolnej części występują nieliczne poziomy niewielkich konkrecji o średnicy do kilku centymetrów. W kierunku szczytu tego profilu poziomy stają się częstsze i bardziej obfite. Warstwy przyjmują postać soczewkowatą o grubości jednego metra, ale wymiary zawartych w nich konkrecji pozostają niezmienione. Jedynie w górnych partiach profilu pojawiają się znacznie większe konkrecje, o średnicy dochodzącej do pół metra. W górnej części profilu zastępują je duże tabelaryczne konkrecje o charakterze osadowym, dochodzące do kilkunastu metrów średnicy i kilkudziesięciu centymetrów grubości. Pojawiają się na kilku poziomach
