Abstract:

One great advantage of liposome-encapsulated genes for gene therapy is its safeness. But ahortcoming is its low transfection efficiency. To overcome this shortage, we devised cationicarge unilamellar vesicles for efficient entrapment and transfer of the gene for its expression.Recently, we devised a simple method to prepare cationic multilameller large vesicles. By use)f these vesicles, malignant glioma in an experimental model was successfully cured.
