Muscle segment examination in light & electon microscopy

Abstract:

A biopsy of biceps sinister from a 51-year-old patient was examined, Electronmicrosopy analysis revealed normal ultrastructure of muscle fibers. The structure of myofibrils and sarcomeres were preserved. Majority of mitochondria were unchanged, in few loss of mitochondrial cristae was observed. Few fat droplets were present. Intramuscular nerves were unchanged.
